Sarah Williams is currently enrolled at MIT to get her Master's in City Planning, with a focus in City Design and Development. While enrolled at MIT Sarah plans to focus on how to use innovative technologies to design more environmentally conscious cities. Sarah has a BA in Geography and History and some experience in Landscape Architecture. Sarah has worked in the field of Geography Information Systems for many years. After receiving her undergraduate degree she worked as a GIS Analyst for the Clark Labs and than for the Philadelphia Water Department, where she used GIS to analyze alternative stormwater technologies. Prior to enrolling in MIT's program Sarah worked as MIT's Geography Information Specialist (GIS), in this role she taught workshops and assisted researchers with GIS projects.
