What’s the tradeoff between privacy and benefits in data-driven solutions?
Data Slots was played in more than 80 countries, both in person and online. This gives us the first global assessment of the trade-off between privacy and benefits in a data-drenched world.
Data Cards
Players select and swap these cards with twelve types of data: personal profile, health data, dietary habits, electronic transactions, social networks, human mobility, animal mobility, vehicle mobility, utility data, environmental data, public infrastructure, and greenery. Players select and swap these cards to generate solutions.
Scenario Cards
Players create data-driven solutions for one of three scenarios: home, work, and public spaces.
Chips
Each player receives 10 investment chips. In the final phase of the game, players invest these chips in other players’ proposals considering the tradeoff between privacy and benefits.
