Located on the East Coast of the United States, Boston is widely known for its high concentration of top-tier hospitals, colleges, and universities. Anchored by such medical and academic institutions, the city has developed into a global hub that attracts professionals, researchers, and students from all over the world. The selected CURA site is located within Boston’s Longwood Medical Area, which is home to several of the region’s largest hospitals and medical schools. Specifically, the Simmons University athletic fields were selected as the site because of its ability to accommodate patient overflow from several nearby hospitals, including Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC), Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and Boston Children’s Hospital.
