CURA :: Configurator

Mombasa is the second largest city of Kenya and one the most important port of East Africa. The city stands as a neuralgic centre for the logistic and the touristic network of the continent. The resulting high connectivity is one of the reasons why the first COVID-19 case of the country has been reported in Mombasa. Even if Kenya’s government reacted fast to the epidemic (with a lockdown implemented on the 17th of March), the Country results extremely unprepared for the emergency. Total Kenya ICU beds are estimated around 130, 5 of them in the Aga Khan Hospital in Mombasa. The hospital has an accessible external area to deploy 338 CURA pods and it is the closest large healthcare facility to the port.
